Grammar Pattern

〜さえ〜ば — “As long as / if only X, then Y”

Emphasizes that X is the single minimum requirement for Y to happen.

Structure: Noun + さえ + Verb (ば-form) / Noun + でさえあれば

💡 さえ also appears alone: 〜さえ = “even” (e.g. 子供でさえ知っている = even a child knows)

Example Sentences
